I trained as a Physiotherapist in London at Kings College Hospital and qualified in 1985. Working for over 15 years in the NHS in London Hospitals and Trusts I specialised in musculoskeletal work in the outpatient setting. I then became Physiotherapy Lead Clinician and Manager in a large Community Trust based in West London.
I was one of the founder physiotherapists who set up a sports injury clinic at the West London Stadium (now The Linford Christie Stadium) treating athletes and sportsmen/women. Part of my job was to travel with some of the athletes; including Linford Christie, Colin Jackson and John Herbert; on their warm weather training trips abroad and to sporting venues.
In 2000 I moved back to Wiltshire and continued work in the neuromusculoskeletal field.
My particular areas of expertise are the sacroilliac joint and pelvis; spinal and lower limb dysfunctions. These are often associated with muscle imbalance, poor neural patterning and pain. Treatments focus on posture evaluation; restoration of joint function, muscle balance and neural control; pain relief and self-management programmes.
