Elizabeth Green
HPC Registered Chiropodist / Podiatrist
I was born and educated in Somerset near the small town of Street, famous for being the home of Clarke’s shoes. From a young age I had the ambition to be a chiropodist as I was attracted to a profession where I could help people by diagnosing and treating their foot problems, an ideal combination of using both my brain and hands!
Following my three-year full time studies at Plymouth School of Chiropody I moved to Salisbury to work for the local NHS department as a senior chiropodist. During my time there I developed a special interest in the care of the diabetic foot, a subject that I continue to keep well abreast of. I firmly believe that, in order to provide the highest levels of care for my patients, it is vital that I regularly attend further post-graduate training, both on a local and national level.
Family commitments meant a change of direction was needed with the birth of my two children, at which point both Lyndon and I began to develop our private practice in Salisbury. The time spent working and studying has been invaluable in allowing me to provide a comprehensive service to all my patients.
Within the practice I am often the first port of call for people needing advice regarding their foot problems. At the first appointment I concentrate on providing a diagnosis of the foot problem and suggesting a suitable treatment regime. Sometimes this may include a referral on to Lyndon for surgical or orthotic management of the condition.
